Notice of Vacancies in Office of Parish Councillor

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with the provisions of Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act, 1972 that two vacancies exist in the office of Parish Councillor following the resignations of Councillors Alison Whitham and Raymond Ormston.

If, within fourteen days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays) after the date of this notice (by 7 November 2018) a request for an election to fill the vacancies is made in writing to the Returning Officer, Town Hall, Market Street, Chorley by ten electors (signature, together with full name and address) for the electoral area an election will be held to fill the vacancies.

If no request is received, the vacancies shall be filled by the Parish Council.
