D-Day Commemoration Service on Thursday 6th June 2024 at 2pm at the War Memorial Site

Whittle and Clayton War Memorial Committee invite all residents to the D-Day Commemoration Service is to be held on Thursday 6th June 2024 at 2pm at the War Memorial Site Preston Rd / Factory Lane Whittle-le-Woods, Chorley. Rev. Philip Venables will be leading the service alongside ecumenical leaders and local dignitaries including Members from Clayton and Whittle Parish Councils. Representatives from 6 of the 8 local schools will also be in attendance. Members of the Royal British Legion have also been invited. Chorley Silver Band will be accompanying the hymns and the national anthem. All the local community are invited to join in to remember this momentous event in British history and it would be great to have a good turnout.
