Weekly Community Litter Pick at War Memorial Site Preston Road
4th of June, 2024
In preparation for the D-Day Commemoration Service on Thursday 6th June 2024 (at 2pm) our volunteer litterpickers went to the War Memorial site on Preston Road/ Factory Lane to pick up any stray litter. Thank you to all who attended despite the persistant rain. This weeks volunteers were:- Alison Whitham, Judith Seed, David Cook, Martin Manley, Jim Oldham, Lilian Oldham, Cllr Steve Maddock, Cllr Mark Clifford and Tracy Morris. A big thank you goes to Chorley Council for picking up the full litter bags and disposing of them responsibly and to Clayton-le-Woods Parish Council for providing most of the equipment and running the Tempo time credit scheme.
Please do come along if you have a spare hour (1pm - 2pm each Tuesday) to be in the fresh air to meet a friendly group of people and give back to the community. We would love to see you! Details of next weeks litter pick will follow on shortly.
