Christmas Tree 2016/17
16th of July, 2020
Clayton-le-Woods Parish Council hoped that all its residents had a wonderful Christmas and are enjoying a great start to 2017.
The Clayton-le-Woods Parish Council Christmas Tree this year has been a beautiful sight to behold for all residents passing by the Pines roundabout on Preston Road. Cllr Mark Clifford says "Last year many residents asked if we could have different lights on the tree. We listened and this year's blue and white lights have been stunning and we hope you loved our new twinkling star. We are already planning next year's display and we have great plans to make it even bigger and better".
New for this year was our Christmas Tree switch on ceremony officiated by our Chairman Raymond Ormston with Scouts, Cubs and Beavers from the Clayton Green Scout Group singing carols to over a hundred residents. The event was a great success and free mulled wine and mince pies were generously supplied by the Beaumont Public House for all those who attended the switch on ceremony.
